Marijuana refers to dried leaves, flowers, stems and seeds. The plant contains the mind-altering chemical THC and other similar compounds. Marijuana is the most commonly used illicit drug in the United States. People smoke marijuana in hand-rolled cigarettes also known as joints or in a pipe or in a water pipe also known as bongs. Marijuana smoking has become generally more common than daily cigarette smoking among teens.
When asked most teens say 1 in 14 say that they have used marijuana in the past month. Most teens think marijuana is ok if it is legalized in there state. Marijuana is also harmful to teens brains that are still growing.
