My Life In Arizona

I’m going to tell you about my life in Arizona. Okay, so I lived in Arizona for ten years of my life so as you probably know that’s most of my life. Six of those ten years I was home-schooled (kindergarten through sixth) because there was a school shooting at my school when I was in kindergarten. So, my mom decided to pull me out of school and home school me herself.

I lived on a farm in Whitmann, Arizona for seven years of my life with two horses, eighteen chickens, four dogs, two lizards, two hamsters, two gerbils, one Ginny pig, one snake, five fish and one turtle! Lots of animals huh? But my family and I had so much land and a big house that it worked out perfectly. I loved my farm so much and if I could go back I would in a heartbeat.

When I was about five years old I started gymnastics. On my first day I had to get moved to a different group because I was too advanced…mind you I have never in my life been in a gym nor have I ever done anything involving gymnastics but I kept getting better and better! By the time I was on a level eight team, I was actually pretty good, which is great for an eight year old.

The girls on my level eight team were 12-14 so some were around my age now. I was the youngest on the team which at the time was kind of cool.

But then I wanted to do hockey because I saw my older brother Michael playing it and I loved watching him play it so I figured I would give it a try. Also, gymnastics being so easy and me moving up so fast in it…that even though it’s a competitive sport that it wasn’t even fun anymore so I quit, why I have no idea… bad choice, but I did it anyway because I wanted to try something new!

Now, I live in Ingleside Illinois and go to Gavin South Middle School. Ive lived here for 4 years. I was homeschooled for one year starting in 5th. Now im in eight grade and moving on up to high school soon and I’m loving it.!

Well, let me tell you a story about Muscles and how he came down from the heavens. Just kidding…he was born just like everyone else.

So, in the 6th grade a boy named Luke was having a normal day but was unaware what was going to happen in the next few minutes. The bell rang and it turned to 9th Period which is when he had gym. Luke just got his clothes from his locker and went to the locker room and started to change.

Then all you hear is another boy named Edward yelling, “Luke you have abs?!?!”

Well, I had no idea at the time because I didn’t really care. Then, my friend named Lucas called me a name and that name was “Muscles.”

Personally, I loved it – it just sounded right!

After that whole scenario happened, fitness testing came around and I only got 2 1/2  pull ups, 23 push ups, and 27 sit ups. I was disgraced in myself so I started eating healthier and dedicating most of my time to working out. Eventually fitness testing came again and sure enough eating healthier and working out really worked! I got 6 pull ups, 43 push ups, and 47 sit ups. When I was done with that fitness test I did the best thing possible…I kept working out.

Just to let you know this keeps happening over and over again so I’m just going to skip to the last part. Finally, I’m going to tell you where I am at right now: 61 sit ups, 53 push ups (only because of the new push up system), and finally 23 pull ups!

And that my friend, is how a boy named Luke became “Muscles”.

Hey there I’m Nick. This story is true just letting you know… Okay let’s begin…

So October 31, 2015 – today – Halloween. Wait; let’s go back to when everything started. June 23, 2002 the day I was born, the day my mother (Jennie) and my father (Jesse) made me.

I was so embarrassed as to what my parents were going to call me. There were some weird names, but thank god my mom’s friend asked to name me Nicholas. My parents said yes so I was kind of happy. But, I hate when people say my first name and also every time I am in a group they always spell my name like this: Nicklaus, Nickolas and it’s annoying! But let’s quit talking about my name…

So around 2002-2004, my mom and my dad were going to do their own things so they broke up. But one day I was messing around the bathroom when my mom and grandpa (James) were talking in the living room. I guess my mom was going somewhere with her friend, and she had to wait for my dad to come to get me from her house so he could watch me while my mom was out. I guess I climbed up and grabbed a hot curling iron and burned myself. On my left arm there was a big burn mark so my mom ran to the bath. The only thing I can remember is that my mom picked me up to the bed and I laid there. I could hear my mom on the phone with my dad (I think she started to cry, but I’m not sure). I was sitting there looking at the wall crying and it felt like I was going pass out or die because everything was turning black. Either that or I was falling asleep!

I remember that my dad and my mom were taking me to my uncle’s car – it was a yellow, 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer. They took me to the hospital and if I remember correctly, the doctors gave me a cast to help with the burn on my arm.

More to come…
