ATTACK ON TITAN

A Book review by Jakob C. 🙂

This is a book review of the Attack on Titan, written by Hajime Isayama. Written in third/first person. Set in a Horror fantasy world where the humans have been enslaved to the comfort of the walls by these giant humanoid creatures called Titans and follows three main characters, Eren Jeager, Mikasa Ackerman, and Armin Arlet, where we see the three of them when they were 9 years old as a titan they labeled the “Colossal” titan, a 60 meter titan controlled by Bertholdt Hoover broke through the outer Shiganshina Wall and the Armored Titan controlled by Reiner Braun destroyed the inner Shiganshina and Eren’s mother, Carla Yeager, was eaten by a Titan and Eren was determined to kill all of the Titans, and inlisted in the 104 Cadet corps with Mikasa and Armin. There is a skip to when Eren and some of the other graduates are checking on wall Trost when the Colossal Titan appears again and destroys the outer wall, but the Armored Titan did not appear, and in this encounter Eren and everyone but Armin in his Squad is killed and eaten by Titans, and later in the attack a Titan is seen killing others, and we later find out that Titan was controlled by Eren himself, the official term for his Titan form is the Attack Titan(Middle), along with 8 others, the Armored Titan(Right Middle), the Colossal Titan(Left Middle), the Female Titan(Right), the Cart Titan(Not Shown), the Jaws Titan(Left), the Warhammer Titan (Not Shown, and the Beast Titan(Not Shown), and the Founding Titan (Middle)

(Time Skip a few years)

There is a war going on with the Eldian People (Titans) and the Marley(Pure Humans) Armin Arlet has inherited the Colossal Titan after eating Bertholdt as a Mindless titan, Eren, Mikasa and Armin are working with the Eldians from the Cart Titan Pieck, the Jaws Titan Porco, the Beast Titan Zeke, and The War Hammer Titan (Defeated and Eaten by Eren Jeager, giving him the Attack Titan, the Founding Titan, and the Warhammer Titan) Levi Ackerman, titled “Humanity’s Strongest Soldier” Beat Zeke, the “Warchief” for the Marlays. There are currently no more books out yet so I have to wait till December 😦 Overall though the book series was great at explaining everything to me and the anime helped me because i could watch what was going on mostly.

Now onto Paragraph 2, I’ll make this one a bit shorter

The Main Character I will be focusing on is Eren Yeager, the series Poster Boy, he is currently 19 Years of age from the latest book, he is an interesting character because of his complexity. His Father, Grisha Yeager, after stealing the Founding Titan Power from the Reiss Family had turned Eren into a Mindless Titan and had Eren eat his father, giving him the Founding and Attack Titan powers at a young age. Eren is best described as hardheaded, strong-willed, passionate, and impulsive, which are attributes of both his strong determination to protect mankind and, eventually, his equally strong determination to escape the Walls.

“You have to Fight. If you don’t fight you can’t win” – Eren Yeager

“On that day, mankind received a grim reminder. We lived in fear of the titans, and were disgraced to live in these cages we called walls.” – Eren Yeager

Paragraph 3!

The Connection with the book I can make is with real life, and that was lucky we’re not in some world where we live in fear of the creatures around us. This Book Series has 3 Anime Series. Some similar books are Fairy Tail, Sword Art Online (Don’t watch the Anime, it’s NOT GOOD O-O) And Death Note. I would recommend this book to people of any gender and ages from 14-20, if you love a good thriller suspenseful story with great characters and a plot easy to follow with a lot of lore along the way.

I Rate this Book 5 Smiling Titans out of 5 Smiling Titans
